Joe Leaphorn and Jim Chee as they investigate the disappearance of two boys, with only an abandoned bicycle and blood-stained patch of ground left in their wake. Meanwhile, Bernadette Manuelito attempts to settle into her new life 500 miles from home with the Border Patrol, but stumbles across a conspiracy involving human and drug smuggling with far-reaching implications.

Season two will pick up three years after the dramatic conclusion of series one, with Tasha hiding on the island with her daughter Emily, while Jen has moved on and is preparing to get married. Living under false identities, Tasha has started a new life for herself and Emily. However, Tasha is forced to abandon her fresh start when she learns that Jack has been released from prison early having only served a year of his sentence. Jack appears to be a changed man, but who can each of them really trust, and can anyone truly change?
